Learn to Skate

The Learn to Skate program is designed for players with little to no skating experience. Players will learn basic skating skills (forward & backward skating, edges and turns) using fun, developmental drills with the goal of moving to the Enfield Hockey Association's Mini Mite Development hockey program.


Ages

The program is designed for kids 4 to 11 years old with very little skating experience.

Practices are once a week at Enfield Twin Rinks

When

We will run a few session throughout the fall and winter. You can choose to do just 1 or do them all! October we will not run our regular Learn to Skate but will run the Little Bruins Academy

USA Hockey Number

Every Skater is required to get a USA Hockey number each season. Please click below to get your 2024-25 Confirmation number

Equipment Needed

This program requires Hockey skates, hockey helmet and cage, Neck guard and gloves(does not have to be hockey gloves)

Once the skater is steady on the ice the will need a stick and hockey gloves.

All of this can be purchased at DK's(Store are the far end of Enfield Twin Rinks) or Dick's Sporting Goods.
